We grade our drinks using a trail system. Each cocktail is rated by intensity, strength, and how brave you’re feeling right now. Don’t worry — if things go sideways, our rescue team (also known as the bar staff) is standing by.
Beginner Trail
For the curious, cautious, or simply thirsty.
Light, approachable and friendly. Sweet, fresh and citrus forward. These drinks are smooth sailing — no special skills required, and absolutely no judgement if you order a second.
Intermediate Trail
For confident walkers with decent balance.
A step up in flavour and complexity. Sweet and sour, fruity, maybe a little tangy. You’ll still enjoy the view, but you might need to pay attention along the way.
Advanced Trail
For experienced hikers only.
Spirit forward and unapologetic. Less citrus, more backbone. These drinks don’t hold your hand and expect you to know what you’re doing — or at least pretend you do.
Expert Trail
For legends, lunatics, and people who read the ingredients twice.
Bold, boozy and intense. Strong flavours, strong spirits, and absolutely no shortcuts. Endurance and solid footwear is required.
Funicular Ride

As a fun activity, the gang decided a funicular ride would be the perfect way to reach the best views in town.
Instead, it became Nicholas’ worst nightmare.
Trapped in a crowded cab, dangling several metres above the ground, panic quickly set in. With nowhere to escape and very little dignity left, he did the only sensible thing he could think of — he called his mum, Marianne, for comfort.
This drink is his calm in a glass.
Catch & Release

After walking for hours in freezing conditions, with snow far deeper than we felt comfortable admitting, we finally reached Connor’s favourite fishing spot.
That’s when Connor realised he had forgotten to pack the bait.
With all eyes fixed on him — somewhere between disbelief and disappointment — he did what he does best: improvised. Pulling out the only food we had brought with us, a pack of carrots, he confidently convinced us that it would work perfectly as bait.
It didn’t work as bait. It did, however, inspire this cocktail.
Apples & Cherries

After another spectacular failure at fishing, we woke up starving and slightly offended by the concept of effort. With nothing to eat and morale hanging by a thread, we climbed further up the mountain to catch the sunrise — armed only with apples, cherries, and optimism.
It was beautiful. Emotional, even. We reflected on how far we’d come, how good life was… and how desperately we needed coffee.
This drink tastes like a peaceful moment earned the hard way.
Irish Morning Coffee

Flavour profile: Rich, comforting and gently boozy, with caramel sweetness and a creamy finish.

Renate kindly made coffee for everyone that morning. What we didn’t realise — until cup three — was that she’d prepared a large batch of Irish ish coffee.
Concerns were raised. They were ignored. Spirits were lifted. Confidence soared.
Connor announced he was going out to pick blueberries for lunch. Meanwhile, Renate and I stayed inside, carefully planning how to destroy him in Monopoly later.

Figment of My Imagination

Connor went out that morning to pick blueberries for lunch. That was the plan..
When he hadn’t returned for a suspicious amount of time, we went to look for him. We didn’t have to go far — about ten metres from the cabin, we found him crouched behind a tree, whispering intensely to a wooden troll.
We never discovered where the troll came from. This cocktail captures that exact moment — confusing, herbal, and slightly unsettling.
The game

No cabin trip is complete without a board game night. No board game night survives Monopoly.
As the evening dragged on and Nico’s luck evaporated, accusations of cheating began to fly. Voices were raised. Fingers were pointed. Someone briefly channelled their inner Tony Soprano.
The night ended with Connor bankrupting Nico, the board flipping spectacularly, and several friendships requiring quiet reflection.
This drink is structured, serious, and completely unsympathetic — just like Monopoly.
Cross Country Ski

Flavour profile: Clean and refreshing, with crisp citrus acidity, subtle herbal notes from basil and a light sweetness that balances the sharp, Nordic character of aquavit.

None of us remember this photo being taken.
A bet was made during board game night that Renate wouldn’t be able to use us as cross country skis. At the time, this seemed unlikely. The next morning suggested otherwise.
A few days later, when the photo resurfaced, Nico found himself a couple of hundred kroner poorer — and with absolutely no argument to defend himself.
Some moments are best left unexplained. This drink is one of them.
Whistling at the Top

Flavour profile: Sharp, cherry led and spirit forward, with teetering sweet and sour balance.

After reaching the very top of the mountain, we expected triumph. Maybe pride. Possibly silence.
Instead, Nico and the nearby tourists were distracted by a strange whistling sound carried on the wind. Turning around, they were met with the unforgettable sight of Connor, confidently relieving himself directly into said wind.
This cocktail is bold, slightly aggressive, and best enjoyed with a sense of humour.
